Maple sauce for blonde brownies

This is the copycat for Applebees blondie with the yummy sauce.

3/4 c. maple syrup, use real maple syrup!! imitation will not taste as good

1/2 c. butter

3/4 c. brown sugar

1/2 c. chopped walnuts (optional)

Combine syrup and butter in saucepan and heat until butter has melted, then add sugar and mix until dissolved and stir in walnuts. Pour over your blonde brownie and vanilla ice cream and it's awesome!
